Track Rules

Welcome to the WCMC Inc. Thank you for attending our events. We are a non-profit Club formed to promote and encourage the sport of motorcycle riding. Please follow these rules so your visit with us can be an enjoyable one. Also, please inform everyone with you of these, and if you cannot follow the rules you will not stay. These rules apply to EVERYONE. If you have any safety concerns, please do not hesitate to bring it to the attention of the track officials or club member. Thanks again and enjoy!

General Event Information:

  1. Please stay on the property and inside the fences at all times. We have wonderful happy neighbors and want to keep it that way. Crossing a fence onto their land is trespassing and against the law.
  2. No family member, friend, mechanic, spectator or photographer may enter the track area at any time without prior coordination with track officials and/or club officers.
  3. No uncontrolled alcoholic beverages, and or illegal substances, in accordance with AMA rules, and the law.
  4. No smoking when handling any combustible substance & No Fireworks.
  5. PETS are welcome, as long as they are friendly and on a leash. We reserve the right to send unfriendly pets home, or have you park in a remote area away from other campers and racers.
  6. Everyone should practice good sportsmanship, riders and spectators alike.
  7. Everyone must obey track personnel at all times.
  8. No riding in fields. Ride to and from the track only. You must be 16 or over to use a pit vehicle. They are for transportation to and from the track, not for joy riding!
  9. We reserve the right to expel any person from the property for not abiding by Wabash Cannonball Motorcycle Club Inc. guidelines and/or rules.

Riders:

  1. Riders MUST wear a helmet and it is highly recommended that all riders wear full gear. Full gear includes but is not limited to: motocross boots, pants, jersey or long shirt, gloves, helmet, neck brace, chest protector and goggles. It is highly recommended that minors wear full gear.
  2. Helmet straps must be fastened properly while riding.
  3. No riding in fields.  Ride to and from the track only. Remember, you must be 16 or over to use a pit vehicle. They are for transportation to and from the track, not for joy riding!
  4. Only dirt bikes and race quads will be permitted on the big track.
  5. No side by sides (SxS), Backyard Bikes, Pit Bikes, or Utility ATVs on the track unless for official track business or emergency responding vehicle.
  6. Bike or ATV will not leak fluids on track and must exit track immediately if pointed out by flagger or track official.
  7. All riders will abide by instructions received from flaggers and officials while riding. If a flag is displayed, you will respectfully abide by rules of displayed flag. If a black flag is pointed at you, safely exit track immediately and see official. If a yellow flag is waving, slow down and do not jump until you pass incident. If a standing yellow flag is exhibited, ride with caution and slow down until you pass incident. If a red flag is exhibited, there has likely been an injury and you must slow down, not jump, and exit track at normal exit (unless directed by official to exit at alternative location). If a white flag with red cross is exhibited, an ambulance or paramedics are on track and you must slow down, not jump, and exit track at normal exit (unless directed by official to exit at alternative location).
  8. No riding outside of the track property.
  9. All riders must enter and exit track at designated locations.
  10. Motorcycles must have numbers on the number plates if racing.
  11. Wabash Cannonball Motorcycle Club does not provide health insurance coverage for riders or spectators. We strongly urge all riders to have health insurance before practicing or racing.

ATV-Specific Rules:

  1. Tether kill switch and nerf bars are required for all ATVs. (This applies to all events)
  2. You must meet the age & cc’s requirements.
  3. Under age 16 cannot ride a 450. There are limits for cc’s for other age ranges and these must be followed.

Open-Ride Rules:

  1. No club or AMA membership is required,
  2. A practice schedule is located at the club house and starting lines (at both Big track and the Kids Track), and at registration.
  3. No riding in fields.  Ride to and from the track only. Remember, you must be 16 or over to use a pit vehicle. They are for transportation to and from the track, not for joy riding!
  4. The 50 track schedule is flexible. We may start out with all 50s together and split according to size and/or speed as more riders sign up. Please check with the 50 track official for details.
  5. Remember, it’s just practice!  Watch for and obey yellow caution flags.  If one is waving, a rider is down ahead. Track crew or medical personnel may be on the track. Pay attention! Slow down and don’t jump until you have passed the incident and all the yellow flags.  You can lose your riding privilege for the day for failure to obey yellow flags. 

Spectators

  1. Spectators are not allowed to enter track and MUST stay behind designated fence. No exceptions are made for photos.
  2. Spectators cannot ride as passengers on the track.
  3. Wabash Cannonball Motorcycle Club does not provide health insurance coverage for riders or spectators. We strongly urge all riders to have health insurance before practicing or racing.

Pee Wee Track Rules

  1. Pee Wee bikes only on the Pee Wee track. Parents are responsible for monitoring their children on the Pee Wee track.
  2. NO CHILD MAY RIDE ON THE PEE-WEE TRACK WITHOUT A PARENT PRESENT & WATCHING AT ALL TIMES.

Rules for Minors - Mandatory Minor Release Form

Riders under 18 years old are required to have a parent or legal guardian print and sign the minor waiver form below. If your parent can’t attend, you can bring the NOTARIZED consent form from your parent, assigning another adult as your temporary guardian for the day. They MUST stay while you are riding. We can’t accept the form if it’s not notarized (due to insurance requirements).  Please print the waiver and have the waiver signed and stamped by a current legal public notary (most banks and public offices have them). Please bring the completed, signed and stamped minor waiver to Wabash Cannonball Motorcycle Club. We will keep the waiver on file at the track.
